Hall county jail is the sixth largest in the state of Georgia. The jail sheriff's offer protection to the local residents located within 394 square miles with total population of 184,000 citizens. The jail consists of different types of murderers, kidnappers, rapists and other prisoners with different charges. The jail offers a modern state of at facility and was opened in 2007. The jail is currently under the command of captain mark bandy. The jail uses latest technology of tracking and designing and offers full security. The mail area of the jail comprises of 1026 beds.136 beds are for male and female work release houses and 60 inmates are managed under house arrest programmes daily. There are 210 officers and 60 clerks who are working inside the jail and are responsible for managing different departments and are even responsible for all the operations held under the sheriff's division.

There are inmate transport facilities provided for up and down from the jail. Also there are medical and dental appointments provided to the prisoners. This Hall county jail also serves as a warrant service unit which is responsible for operating and managing 600 warrants per month. The jail annually generates revenue of 5 million dollars per year by boarding in inmates from other jurisdiction areas. There are different rules which are applicable on the visitors. Different timings and rules are applied for visiting any of the prisoners. The log book must be signed properly with proper photo identity proof as well as the children's must be accompanied by some adult so as to fulfil the requirements. The visitors must maintain the decorum of the jail and must not arrived drunken which may result in their arrest. Inside the detention facility no firearms and other destructible items are allowed. The jail is a no smoking zone and one must keep all their items outside in their vehicle for their ease.

Inmates who have been assigned with proper housing inside the jail or those who have not lost their privileges are only allowed to meet their visitors. In other cases one has to have a proper written permission from the sheriff in order to meet the inmate. Those who are residing in the jail are provided with particular clothes and shoes and are not allowed not keep any of their personal items. Any person found guilty must be allowed to submit their personals within 10 days or after this their items will be disposed of. Inmates are allowed to accept the money in cash. No cheques or money orders will be allowed. All the rules and regulation are necessary to follow for getting proper privileges inside the jail.
